Our work

Our Initiatives

Poverty and lack of education feed each other, so we work on both: children in the classroom and the families who support them.

Our approach

Two pillars, three programmes

Our first pillar equips men and women with the skills, knowledge and resources to earn a sustainable income and lift their households. Our second makes sure every child, regardless of gender or circumstance, can learn in a safe and supportive environment.

Everything began at Murambo Catholic Nursery and Primary School, where a small gift of revision guides to Primary Seven pupils showed us how much a little support can change. These programmes are how we make that support last.

From the field

Two journeys, one heartbreak

Two of our volunteers delivered books to Murambo and toured the school. Their reflections explain why our programmes look the way they do.
